I know the AC was taken out, but will it still have heat?

Passenger door has a a ding right on the edge...I can live with it, but I know it's gonna be a PITA to get fixed.

I knew the bumper fillers were fiber glass and he said they don't match in the pics, but look better when actually viewing the car.

It looks pretty clean and straight.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I'm not up to speed on the A/C and heating system...but if there is no ac, that means no heat?  Can I make it have heat without having to reinstall the A/C? It doesn't snow in AL, but it does get cold here...

Were these cars available from the factory w/o A/C?

What is that knob for where the stereo would normally be?

No, I don't think they were, unless someone special ordered it. Even if it didn't have A/C - it would still have the heater box, blower assy, etc.

THat may be a remote for the boost controller.

I need to ask him if he took out the core, I'm told that most people don't go through the trouble of taking out the core.  A friend of mine has the blower and an entire A/C system that he'll give me.

What's involved?  Mount it, hook up the lines, route the ducting, hook up the vacuum lines and go?  Do I have to go with an OEM control panel or can I go with some something more simple and custom?

What other questions should I be asking (or would you be asking)?

I don't want to go nuts here, I mean it's a $5K TR, so I know I'm not buying a show quality car by any stretch of the imagination.

the core is gone, it is located in the heater box which is not there. Ask him if he still has the parts.

He said he got the car that way when it was a roller.

That's a shitload of work to put all that back in. I would get the white one - closer, and 86 is a lot more rare than the 87 T.

The gray one has no wiper motor or mechanism, no cruise, no back seat, no relays I can see, what looks like a custom wiring harness, and who know how much more was gutted to make it light, and a race car.

It's a great looking race car, don't get me wrong.

If you want a driver - get the white one. If you want to race, get the gray one.

Got some more info, and he's going to email more pics and info.

PS works
Manual breaks
No c-clip eliminators
Southside bars
Adjustable uppers
3500 stall torque converter

I can get a complete A/C system and core for free from a friend.  But it sounds like all the wiring was removed.

Not real keen on the idea of not having heat, defrost, or w/s wipers.

I think I'm just gonna go for the white one...

Just gonna have to replace the engine harness.  Bill Ragland says the white one needs the body bushings replaced too.  It is going to be a PITA to find someone to do that, but I'd probably get them done on the GN at the same time too.
