A little story about my TR.
« on: October 11 2006, 09:31:59 PM »
First off - I'm ashamed. :(

I haven't driven or worked on my TR since April, since it was broken into and the steering column smashed. The only reason they didn't get it was my hidden fuel pump relay switch.

They should not be giving you a problem for that.   Good for you!  Glad it started and you moved it back to the same spot!

In 1996 some fuckers broke my column and tried to steal my car.  I had to drive it for 3 month starting by pulling the lever in the column that they had left exposed.

If they do, I will sue them. I checked my rental agreement, and basically, as long as the tires aren't flat, and it has a valid tag - they can't do much about it.

THat's how I have to start mine - with a screwdriver, pulling up on the lever.
