So Cruz appears to have a teflon rocker gasket.I don't recall seeing many teflon gaskets generally and IIRC a property of teflon is that it creeps,IE: deforms over time.I wonder how these will hold up.

We use Teflon gasket on everything in the power plant, up to 600 degrees,but it’s a onetime use only.
I’ve seen a lazy person open a door do what needed to be done and close it and not leak.

Thanks Tim, Good to know there is a track record, The one time use makes sense to me. Silicone and Teflon are good to high temperatures, I would not have questioned silicone as a gasket material.

I have worked with some crazy aircraft wiring where the insulation is 3 layers -teflon-kapton-teflon, either one would have to be too thick and heavy to be sufficiently durable on their own.

I went to Cruz website could not find that gasket for the price,but I want a set.I don’t have a leak after 3000 miles but it’s gonna leak someday. Just hope not this Sunday.
Just wish the girlfriend side wasn’t so hard to remove.

Yes my cork is working only needed tightened twice seconds time all good
I think I like spending money needlessly sometimes. Need to work on that bad habit

In that case, you don't need fancy schmancy valve cover gaskets, you need an aftermarket ECM  :)

....go inside, drink a beer, then walk back to the car.

It'll pop right off.



(it doesn't hurt if you bump the starter a little a little so the rearmost rockers move around a little)
