Friday Nites Track Data
« on: April 24 2016, 05:19:51 PM »
I was back at it Friday nite. Temperature was  down to 60 degrees from 70 the previous week. Getting some data for Jason to give him a head start. First run was with the same settings as the last run last Saturday. With the temp down 10 degrees I went out and had at it. The low/high gear fueling numbers were exactly the same on the first run. I called Jason and had him give me the number for minus 15 percent for low gear fueling...whic h is another 5 percent pulled from 10 last Saturday. I also pulled another couple points of high gear fuel from it. Below is the numbers for the second run. Temp when I made the run was 55 degrees with a 37 km/h wind out of the NW. The track runs from east to west.

Boost-20 PSI
Low Gear Fuel-807
High Gear Fuel-760

The car picked up .3 MPH at 97.4...even with the strong headwind. ET remained the same. The track was cold and unprepped...so adding low gear timing or pulling more low gear fuel wouldn't have helped...as traction was at a premium. Best I could muster was a 1.89 short time.

I'm gonna start testing with the rear single adjustable QA1's on May 6th. I've got 90/10 non adjustable Lakewoods up front.

I was wondering the last couple of posts why you were so rich in first gear :)

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I had Eric burn it for 28 plus PSI for fuel...that's why it's rich. It'll come around all on it's own on our Thanksgiving weekend when the air gets dry and cool and I crank it 30 PSI. Steve...we're doin' the exact same thing as last time. I'll make a mid 20 PSI run on the Saturday and post the data. We'll make our adjustments... and go for broke on the Sunday. As long as the chip has enuf high gear fuel in it with C16...it should hold together for 6.5 seconds. I have a brand new set of slicks sitting here I'm gonna use for our best chance for a quick short time. It's gonna be checkers or wreckers!
