Concrete should be level. I was considering moving the kickboards to the back of the 4x4s, for some toe space. Thanks for the ideas!

Brad the only stuff I have is what I've drawn. 

Jeremy, hope you have a good water supply. Takes a ton of it to cool the concrete. Takes 28 days to fully cure.

Any idea what the total electrical cost is? Mine was 50 bucks per receptacle/switch/light fixture...and God knows what the trenching, wiring from inside the house and breaker box in the shop totaled up too. Slab was 10 grand.

I've got times setup for fencing and electrical quotes now, heating is the only thing I haven't checked on now.

Concrete is roughly $13k - that is the 30x40x6" slab for the barn, 900sq/ft approach, and 600 sq/ft patio in the back yard.

Concrete work is insanely expensive around here...tho I prolly went overkill on it.

Met with the electrician tonight. I'll probably fall over when I see the quote, all the garage electrical, and a whole house generator.

Funny, I just had a 22kw installed and am sitting here waiting for the contractor to come start it up for the 1st time, after Mechanical Final inspection passed on Monday. $10,000 for purchase and installation for your comparison needs. Good luck. We’re tired of being the last ones to regain power whenever it goes out and seems to go out more nowadays compared to years past.

You guys are smart ponying up the cost for an installation.  The electrical grid is generally in bad disrepair and outages may be more frequent as time goes by whether the failure is due to an act of nature or simply old equipment and delivery system.

One of these days, two thirds of California will have no water and many places have failing utility systems in general.  Us country boys will be better off when the dust settles.

The town I'm in grew...and they didn't upgrade the electrical grid. Power kicks on and off here on a regular basis.

What is it with people?
The guy doing the excavation work told me he'd be here the Monday after thanksgiving and knock it out no problem. I've been calling him 2-3x a week trying to touch base - and last night he finally called me back and told me he's done for the winter due to health issues. So now I've wasted another month grrr - the only reason I hadn't called someone else is he is on the township board. A simple call weeks ago would have been nice.

The generator was just under $10k and the electrical including lights was $5500. 
Waiting for the heating/gas and fencing places to get back with me.
