yb sold out
« on: January 17 2014, 04:19:24 PM »
So, yellowbullet.c om sold out.

I have a little experience with the buyer as they bought out a local mustang board I frequented. They injected lots of ads and some new unfamiliar moderation. This pretty much ran most off and one started a new similar site. Same has happened to yb . A link for those who care. I like it for the wild west attitude and total lack of respect for decency.

They have garnered over 3500 members in three days I though that in itself was pretty impressive.

Yes, its the same owner as TBs.com.  Hotrodders.com seems to have survived despite them.

Yep, and you see the ghost town tbs.com became. I still swing through hotrodders.com as there are some good trans threads there and some knowledgeable people answering questions.

couple years ago I ended up at hotrodders.com while searching for unanticipated results from milling off a Holley choke horn...

I was very surprised at all the  "You should just buy a new carb set up with no choke horn" replies.

The exact opposite I expected from a site call 'hotrodders'.

H.A.M.B would be the propper place for that query. You need to grok your audience.

I just knocked the choke horn off and had no problems.   If I had to assign a name to that operation I would call it "hotrodding"  :)

Not to be confused with "checkbook hotrodding"
