Theres a guy at work...
« on: January 30 2006, 02:18:30 AM »
Theres a guy at work...He's pretty cool. Ownes a cobra....light ly modded. Says he runs mid 11's. He wants to race me and thinks he'll lose. Problem is, I dont know how to race. I've never raced on the strip befor. I hear there can be a whole second difference between someone that knows how to "hook"?

Oh Jesus, wait until April. I'll show you how to give yourself the shocker in your car. It's great.

Like Natty says, wait 'til April. We'll set you up.....if you absolutely can't wait 'til then, remember, run for best time, not who crosses the finish line first---in other words, "race the clock, not him". And you definitely don't want to bet on your first race.

Remember how we do it here? Make a pass, then everybody meets up and scratches heads for ways to get another tenth or two.

Shocker? LoL. Looking forward to that!

He's more or less on my side. I told him about my car...the build and stuff...Next thing I know a guy comes up to me at work telling me that he heard I got a fast car.  :jerkit; I dont mind someone talking about my car but I'm worried they'll over hype it.

I just dont want to look like a fool and be beat by an EVO. I need seat time!
