I retire in four and a half years...and after watching Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace...that I'm going to apply for 007 status...licen se to kill.

Since you likely grew up in the Roger Moore era, it was not a bad move to take a pass.
R.M. movies made the franchise such a farce that it was impossible to suspend disbelief and really get lost in the moment.

The new guy brings it back to where it should have been all along,
Walken might be a bit much ,tho :)
