MT 275/60/15 will they fit

will the MT 275/60/15 fit without any issues, I currently run 255/60/15  but would like to go with a taller tire for RPM at top end.

idk if youre running 255 60s or 50s but according to the chart if youre running a 60 going to a 50 you will actualy lose.

 whats the backspacing on your rim? i had 15x8 w 4" bs but rubbed the inner fender well. i used the bfgs 275 and the width is noticeable.

but also i need to do rear body bushings and lower control arms. that may matter also

I don't know the BS but the 255's have about one inch from the frame.

Mine fit great !   Just had to trim a little inner fender...no biggie.

If you are going to run them all the time, buy a new speedometer gear that has 27 teeth because with the stock gear, you will be doing about 108 when the speedo says 100.

You should improve your 1/4 miles with the taller tire

I've run every size going so I'll step in. Steve is correct... your RPM's will drop so you should see an ET improvement. The 275/60/15 MT DR will fit with a rim with a 4" backspace...an d the MT 28x9 slick is the same dimensions so it'll fit as well...as I run both. Grumpy has run the MT DR on a rim with a 4.5" backspace with a 1/4" spacer. Remember if you run an aluminum rear drum that it's 1/4" thicker than the cast iron drum...so it'll push the tire out a 1/4 further to the wheel lip...but fear not...as I run the aluminum rear drum with the stock GN rims with the MT 275/60/15 DR and the MT slick 28x9 slicks with no rubbing issues.

Could be an issue when I try these Hoosier 28 inch DR`s. Got them mounted on GN rims...but these things look huge. Got them for 200 bucks new...so what the hell. Gonna check Hoosiers website to check the difference between the MT 28 inch DR and these. Sidewall is godawful thin and they`re very sticky. Wouldn`t trust these on the street.

I just mounted a set of the 275/60/15 Hoosier Drag radials on 15x8 aluminum wheels with 3.75 backspace I believe and installed on car last night. Side by side with my Nitto DR they look about the same size. They fit well but my rear fender lip is about 2 inches above tire. If my car was lowered a bit in the rear they would probably rub edge of fender since mine are not rolled. Of course it rained all day today cancelling the test n tune since I got my tires yesterday. Im gonna try to get out in morning and try them out!
