you are correct.

with a welder, big hammer, and a 5th of wild turkey.......a nything is possible
thinking of trying that exact combination.

48
not a chance the bracket gets in the way pushing the alternator out

besides without the tensioner you need something to set the belt tension

only way is the champion ac delete setup that has PS and Alternator mounting

.
   that sucks, i was hoping
Have you looked at actually doing this?

i am also considering elongating the top mount of the alt bracket and welding the tensioner stationary.

49
Thinking about Relocating the alternator to the AC compressor spot Using the OE stuff and eliminating the tensioner.
Some one has to have done this during the early days.
please post up and don't forget the pictures.

Also the 4 gauge holder covers the bottom of the AC vent but i think (first mistake) that you could still get some air from the top half.
With the 3 gauge holder even if you turn the AC vent towards you it will block all of the air coming off of that first vent. I think

I tossed the radio in favour of the 3 gauge plate from TR Custom Auto Parts and the 2 gauge holder that sits in the console.

The car came with a home made 3 gauge holder in the radio's spot.
But i NEED a radio.
I have been leaning towards the 2nd one because it will put the boost gauge higher into the line of sight.

BUT

I also like the first one since all i want is 4 gauges.

trying to decide on which gauge holder to use

Evils 4 gauge holder across the top of the radio
or
GNS 3 gauge holder that sits above the radio but goes up and down next to the cluster pad
