Free up the exhaust some c16  more boost and real slicks and 8 sec are possible so even a bad driver should have no problem running 10's.

Stuff happens fast in a ten sec car. And those guard rails sure get close in a hurry on a marginal track

Another overpriced/overhyped POS in my rearview. The idiots with too much money are buying these cars and making them look bad. I stated when the Hellcat was introduced that 9 out of the 10 owners wouldn't be able to drive...and that's exactly what happened.

And what if they aren't?  Then what?  Do think that maybe, just maybe, you could just enjoy them for what they are as an enthusiast?

The technology in the package is inspiring.

You nailed it.  A nine second car with a warranty...it is decidedly high tech from end to end.  This is not your usual factory race car.  This is a package put together with a lot of thought and a deliberate marketing signal.

The eventual price may put off some of the non qualified buyers but I suspect a few wll ge wrecked just like the Hellcats.  So what?  That is not the manufacturers fault.  Idiots will always be idiots.

I remember Little River from the sixties and things happened fast in 15 second cars.  LOL

Come to think of it, I don't think Prairie Hill even had guard rails, but then, it did not have any trees around it either.  I saw Garlits run in the 8's there, tho

It you're an enthusiast...a nd own one...fine. Don't show up at Armdrop events flapping your gums...and turning down races. There's a whole load of these Hellcats near my home track. They don't dare show up...cuz they know I'll put them on the trailer.

I agree Rich. I've seen several high priced sport cars 180 them into the guard rail. I always wonder what they say to their insurance company.

I agree Mike. When I got my Buick all I wanted or cared about was drag racing & wrenching all day every day but there's a lot more than just racing when it comes to enjoying a car. The technology I'm sure is very impressive & that thing with only 50 produced will be worth having in a collection & enjoying out at the car shows with a track day now & then. Don't think I would start modding it & beating on it every weekend like my Buick. Also it's Great to see the car makers going back to their Roots for what brought US all together which is Factory Hot Rods!! Next models will come down in price a bit but the 60's & 70's are gone along with cars for $3k-$4K Either way it's a small step forward for Car Guys!

It sure is nice to see the HP wars again. Haven't seen anything like this since the early 70's.

Just like the aura of the GNX rubbed off on the GN's and T's this will lift sales of the younger brothers.

Marketing..the y have given some stuff to Roadkill as well.  Fast and Obnoxious is too obnoxious for me...

GM is building stuff but they are not marketing it like Chrysler.  I will be surprised if they don't turn the publicity up.  Mopar is getting too many headlines.

You know what would be really cool  Brad to get a Demon and take it to work at GM Oshawa. I bet the brass would be impressed.
It sure would get attention.
