Here it is in its temporary home before it heads to Tulsa

they put a set of new tires on it yesterday because the old ones took a set and were thumping.
They were out cruising last night late in and are in love with the car.  Makes me happy to have the right guy get the car.  It's been sitting acting as a shelf for way too many years.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Good deal, Steve.  Big difference selling a Camaro versus a Buick, eh?

I could have sold it easily over the years but I never had a good feeling about the person buying it.  I admit, I was a bit shocked when I cleaned it up and saw how good it looked and and well it ran but it's for someone that really wants a camaro and will take it out every week end and have fun.

I believe cars are to drive and not just park and say see what I have.  The guy that I know that lives in San Angelo and who owns the McLaren beside it plus a twin turbo porsche, had seen it again about three months ago.  He could not believe it was the same car.  A little TLC goes a long way

I wish I could have had the luxury of choosing my buyer, not that I had a bad feeling on the sale.  I get the feeling of waste from lack of use - which helped drive my sale too.  The good news is that the car's absence will lessen with time.

If I get a new truck it's going to be a GM that way I can have an LS to play with.

In this part of the country, Fords are off the chart in price.  I like the Rams because of the hemi and the outstanding ride comfort.  Chevies are really good these days and they are priced better than the fords on the used market but they really are kinda blah to me...but that LS is a home run engine...so many things that can be done with them.  I would love to have one to stuff into something else...like a Miata, for instance lol

Boosted LS 4.8 in a Vega  that would be choice if I had more disposable income

I bought a '74 vega wagon years ago to build a street rod out of.  It's sitting out in a friend's pasture rusting away.  He is a really good car fabricator and we were going to do it together....he ain't very reliable when it comes to staying on track but he can damn sure build them when he is.

I always wanted a Vega panel wagon, but this one would have done nicely.
