I don't think any really do all that much on the street. The solid work the best but don't last too long under continuous use.
If you don't want the stock type, I would probably go urethane and hope they don't squeak too much...some claim to be graphite impregnated and might be better. Urethane deforms less than stock but is still not as precise as the solid style...my experience is that most never run a serious enough tire to be able to see the benefit of the improvement.
