Trying to find the short in my dash lights and gauges....  Didnt find one but did remove some gauge cluster...  All day tuesday





Friday
Stall number 1 seconds after getting off the freeway... literally 3 seconds after.. Could have been bad. My cousin bailed me out all three times. Stalled 2 more timies within 2 miles from my uncles house.  I finally got there and started to remove the altinator and powermaster... waiting for Brian to arive.. removed powermaster and altinator still waiting for Brian to arrive.... ate lunch, cured cancer, ran a marothon, and disovered world peace all while waiting for Brian to arrive...  Oh ok he finally showd.. we slap the shit on and the car is doing some crazy crazy stuff... liek almost turn on with the keys on the seat?  :rolleyes:  :rolleyes:  :rolleyes:   Brian spent the night cause we finished at like 2:30... got up early to go the HB car show and ask some more car guys... bribed one to come back and help... Finished around 3 saturday... so yah fun day

General Buick Tech / Another cool little problem

So I churped the tires the other day and I noticed my tac and boost gauge went south.... super...  

Then I get into my car last night and realize my whole dash has gone out... the aftermarket gauges are not lit up and none of the stock dash light works.... But the idiot lights work...

BUT if I turn my lights of my stock tac and boost gauge work... nothing else and only when the lights are off....

I guess thats what I'm fixing all day today..

Has anyone ever experience different knock counts on different scan tools?
I show very little knock on an OTC type scan tool and a good 4.5.6.7... on my scanmaster...

Ok so whats the deal with UPS' policy on late arrivals?  

I had my brake conversion kit shipped 3 day from florida.  It left on the 6th and I checked today and its scheduled to be dropped off tomorrow the 11th....  So 3 day turned into 5 day....

Don't I get my shipment cost back or something?

Its slow.

I get knock at 5 lbs of boost and above.

Headliner is falling.

Paint is now fucked.

Window tint is now fucked

Engine is now dirty and leaks oil... I know they all do

cd player is broke

bad gas mileage

now there is some wierd grinding noise at start up... not initial start up, but when reved to 1500rpms....  something clanging

Powermaster is shot... probably gonna die soon

Turbo blows some oil (might be cuase of knock)

interior is no mint like it was

Thats all I can think of...

Mind you it has less than 80k  I put about 18k on it and it only ran great for 2 weeks.   The owner before me was nuts and documented everything... one of those guys.... It looked great, couldn't find anything wrong with it when I bought it... now  :finga:  :rolleyes:  :finga:  :rolleyes:  :finga:      :jerkit;

Its not that exciting.

Basically long story short.  It was a frat party and we were kicking anyone that wasn't a chick, in the frat, or a football player out.   Some guys were smoking POT in one of the girls that lives in the houses room.  She wanted them out, and asked a friend to get them out.   I was on the front lawn and see my friend back up and throw his hat down.   My buddy was in Force RECON in the marines.  I step in the middle to stop it and say " hey guys relax" and boom I got hit.  Then it was on.  

My marine friend punch him so hard he flew back onto a car.  I walked over to get him off( I didnt know he was hit by my buddy)  and I grabbed his head with my left hand and swung with my right and the faggot puts his head down so I punched the top of his head.  Then I got in another good shot before I was tackled by my friends.  It took about 6 of them to hold me back I was pissed.  

I got a little cut on my nose and its a little black, but oh well it was fun.  

I'll jsut remember to not be the mediator next time and jsut start swinging.

For the last week I have been hearing a clanking noise when cranking the car over.  I figured it was the starter going south.

Well then it started to "clank" when I shut the car off.  Ok still starter...

Then it clanked when I reved in nuetral.... ok hmm

Took it back to Art again to see if the converter bolts were loose... yep.  One was just sitting there.  No threads threaded.  Ok phewww caught that one.   The second one was good and the third was.....was... ..was.....was. ...was.....was .... hey where the fuck is the third one???  

So basically I had one bolt transfering all the power to the trans.

Ok thanks


Then later on I stall in the middle of an intersection while turning... what the hell.  Fired right back up and drove it home.

Its a never ending uphill battle that will never end.


Next story I assume will be my brakes failing.  :psix;

We left wednesday night, thurday morning at 2am.  Our caravan was 3 cars.  We hauled ass as fast as possible to get there.  Most other caracans took 3 more hours than us to get there becauase they stopped more.   We had quick piss break and moved on.   It took us 10 hours to drive to Bahia de Los Angeles.

The first day was just a relax day.  
Second day woke up at 4:30.  Boats left at 5:15.
Our boat cought 1 fucking Yellow Tail fish out of 5 people.  HAd engine problems and a lazy as fucking Pongero.  This Pongero has the most money in town and the only decend looking bar.  So he thinks he is the shit and doesn't have to work hard.  He took us to one spot and didn't move even when all the other Pongero fuckers moved away becuase they were catching nuttin.   The only saving grace was he had Serius Radio.. .  So we were listining to Sabbath, Zeppelin, acdc....

2nd day more of the same now two people caught fish.  4 on the boat total.  me nothing.  Me and my buddy put on a fire work show that was pretty baddass.  About $450 worth of stuff.

Third day again no fish for me! But still had the Serius Radio blasting so it was ok.  
Went back to our "hotel" if you can actually call it that... and got plastered.   We then left for home at 10pm that night and pulled an all nighter.

The fishing Tourny is put on by a family friend and his brothers.  There was 40 guys from all walks of life that know this family that attend.  Its fun becuase there's tons of BSing and making fun of each other.   Total use of the word fuck and its variatons was somewhere in the high 100,000's.

The town we stay in has no electricity.  They do have a town generator but its only on till 10pm.  When you take a shower the water dribbles out.  No water pressure becuase the water pipe uses gravity to run.   There are shacks that the people live in.  10x10 ply wood shacks.   Even the rich people in the town don't even have air conditioning.  

We stay at a hotel that was built by Americans.  Everything on it is Nigger rigged. Nothiong matches and it wouldn't pass any code if it was in the states. Basically it was camping indoors.
