The S-10s used the same size brake shoes as our cars. We used to look for a softer pad compound for better holding but more wear and dust. The larger shoes conversion was a whole other animal. I doubt you did that.
Brad I've run them since the early 90's I had a prop valve but took it off years ago & run No Valve at all just let it flow where it wants & never had an issue but I've never had a bad panic stop. I drive careful in the city & on the hiways. Only one time I was nervous was driving on 401 in the rain but I drove slowly. I also had no front sway bar at the time so it was a bit freaky for sure!.
Dave, I ran the big rear wheel cylinders and all long shoes on the rear. Could hold any RPM on the line I wanted. Be ultra careful on the street. ZERO panic stops or the ass end will come around on you. Not a good situation. Throws the brake bias for a fuck. Hope all's well.
