More weight reduction got all the rubber/asphalt sound deadening out. Definately the first time I've had to cut spray foam and construction adhesive out of a car. Apparently, it had some sort of speaker enclosure that they sealed to the floor.

It came up way easier than I expected. In some spots I could peel it right off, the rest of it worked with a heat gun and scraper. It takes the right amount of heat to release the glue, if you overheat it you'll have a melted mess on the floor which is way more work to clean up. Once I figured out what worked it went well, just messy and smelled like a roofing job.

I once never worried about fumes and stuff.  I'm afraid to read the labels on some of the stuff these days.

Every time I see the guy on VGG taste the oil, or the gas in one of his finds, I think of my past LOL

 I check the antifreeze by tasting it.

Another thing I like to do is stick my finger into the back of the fan on a running engine, that always get a reaction from people. And yes I have all my fingers :icon_lol:

Went and picked this up today
10" Jegs (TSI) XHD torque converter. Advertised 3800-4100. The sloppy mechanics group has tested these pretty extensively and they seem to perform exceptionally well for the price.

It's still not clean - but it's getting better. Getting rid of the stuck-on sound deadening help a lot with the smell. It still needs a really good cleaning.

This is the 1st one I've personally owned, I'm not terribly fond of them but it was cheap and rust free.
