General Buick Tech / Braided stainless oil cooler lines.
« on: April 25 2023, 11:08:49 PM »
I dug my GN out of the mothballs. A while back i fried one of my engines due to a bent cam. I've since repaired the engine.  I've been running it without the oil cooler. I now plan to get an aluminum radiator and want to reinstall the cooler.  I had previously bought a set of stainless oil cooler lines that bolted in directly, but don't want to use them in case there is still some debris in them. I want to buy another set, but I can't remember where I had bought them.
Does anyone know where I can buy them ?

I've been a Kawasaki guy most of the time. I used to ride an 86 KX-125 works replica (which I still have)
Had a Tecate 250 for a short time while My honda 250 was being rebuilt. (I learned Honda stands for: "Had One Never Did Again"
Had a CR480 (POS)The tecate was a blast. Rode a buddies Honda fourtrax 250R that was actually fun like the tecate.
Older two strokes were the best. A buddy bought a newer KX250 (last of the two strokes.) It had a lot of torque. it could easily
loop out when you launched it if you weren't careful, but the power band was low like a four stroke and a slug otherwise. My 125
would smoke it.

I'm still running a PM. Just fixed one for a customer this week.

If you whacked the motor and it kicked on, its likely a motor, but the switch failures are more common.
Check to see what color switch you have. You should have a grey one. If its black you should replace
it, as those were recalled years ago and most but not all were replaced.

Just get some radio connectors from a bone yard and all the color codes will match up.

I still frequent TBS, mostly from the MAGNA affiliation. If I would choose the perfect setup, it would be for MAGNA to be over here. Mark, I can't tell you how much I enjoy this site and have considered it my main Buick site. I am new to the Buick community compared to most but have been wrenching for 42 years. I don't post a whole lot, sorta still feel like an outsider.

MAGNA had a spot at turbobuicks.ne t (which was run by some MAGNA members)
I was a mod there, but it was still down last I checked.

I had also heard in the news that his myspace page was already taken down by the powers that be.

This would explain why I've had a recent increase in spam e-mails.
I just found this on the NAI site:

Reading everyone's lists reminds me of the kid in the Capital One commercials asking Santa for a mabe and a sword.

1)As for lasers, this would be nice:

3) Deportation of all the illegal aliens and no amnesty.
