on another note, I picked up a 72 skylark, 430/ 2004r making a GSX clone, just finished front end/susp, all tubular A arms, disc brakes, pwr brks.
sent the interior out to be magically transformed into something nice,
looking at wheels, thinking 18 in ridlers, 5 spoke,
oh, just found out I'm 1/1000 indian, so where do I sign up for "indian casino" money?

anyone else see the rise in entry fee's for car shows? here in Az $50 is the going rate, for 1 day show entry, if its a 2 day event, the cost increases, in speaking with some of my (cheapskate) buddy's, we have chosen to not pay. or participate , sad, as alot of these events are fund raisers, for good causes, but I question if all the funds are going to the charity? there is a large buick event in So Kalif, that for years, the organizer claimed it didn't make any money, yet he went gambling at a casino diirectly afterwards, ( with event $$? ) current mgr if that event charges NOTHING, and still has excess $$ from 50-50, raffle, etc. and attendance has doubled/ tripled . go figure!

I replaced the old non working antenna, with a std, fixed mast , with std coaxial connector, obviously it does not connect to existing antenna wire. so my question is, just purchase an extention antenna wire? from new antenna wire to radio? orig radio still in the car, and speakers too! ( hey they work)

so I built and installed new engine in my 87 T,, basic 3.8, 30 over, forged pistons, oil pump blue print, TA grooved cam bearings, comp 206 roller, T/A lifters, and pushrods, pac springs (same specs as comp cams spec'd) shim head gaskets, ( GM orig ) ARP head bolts, and......... started with stock rockers,, broke a shaft, up graded to HD rocker shafts, put a push rod thru a rocker. alot of valve train noise! installed T&D roller rockers, WOW is this thing noisy!, I thought possibly coil bind, retainer bottoming out, valve hitting piston, so off came the heads, and installed lighter springs. and checked every thing, no valve contact, no coil bind, no retainer hitting, . so I installed them, and same noise. I adjusted the valves again, is it possible the lifters collapsed? or not pumped up? as I found I could push the rocker down by hand, (on some) top end is getting plenty of oil, I'm ready to walk away for a while,
