Hey guys, I have a guy with a hot air car for sale, claims 19000 miles. is the motor the same as an intercooled car? was thinking about picking it up as he is selling it super cheap. Its wisconsin so the body is crap but I could get a ton of parts off of it and have a spare motor for when I wreck mine.

They are both V6's, but there are some significant differences between the engines and I don't think you will find much use out of the hot air engine.
gnttype.org should have some articles on the engines but I don't think you will find much to encourage you in that endeavor.

Trans would bring some good coin to the right buyer. I would think the long block part of the engine would be of value to some but the intake , exhaust, ignition, front pulleys and sensors are all different.

Depends on what you are looking for. 84 and early 85 had the old style block with 14 bolt oil pans. They would have hydroboost brakes instead of a powermaster as that was a mid year 85 change too.

The hot air motors are not a great seller ! And I am being nice.

19Kmiles? . A real 19K car would have been garage kept/ never in winter or seen salt. I don't how these guys expect people to believe they haven't gone around.
