Title: Next couple of days
Post by: Pyro6 on February 03 2016, 06:22:03 PM
I have the opportunity the next two days to spend in a small aircraft with a friend doing some sorta unusual stuff. He has a 2003 Jabiru 250 series. Thursday we're going to the Delmarva peninsula to meet a relay from the Carolina's transfer a litter of pups and their Mom and deliver to somewhere in north Jersery. I have to tend to the dogs in flight. It's a last minute thing, so I don't know the breed or circumstance. Than Friday we're flying to West Virginia to check out a motorhome. If he likes it I'll drive it home, if not, I'll fly back. Talk about a win-win. Anyway, I may not be back until Saturday and offline for awhile.

Sounds like a road trip but in the air, and maybe on the road if he buy the rv. Sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Puppy trip cancelled. The plane couldn't leave from North Carolina and we would have had the same thing on the Delmarva peninsula. Rain and bad weather expected all day along the coast. West Virginia tomorrow though, weather looks good. May be driving a Realtta motorhome back to PA. The longest I've ever driven a VW. I'm packing a whole suitcase of rabbit's feet and 4 leaf clovers.

Are rabbits feet like pigs feet? Good for selling to the drunks ata a bar along with those eggs that look like they've been there since the turn of the century.

Which R? Most of them don't work.

It's back together and running. I just can't seem to get the manifolds to seal. One of my customers has a Banks system with headers on his motorhome. I think that's my next move, other wise she's good to go.
Just got back from Charleston WV. Ron finally decided to buy the motorhome Friday at 3:30. Til we finally got back to the airport and said our goodbye's it was 4:45,  Ron took off in the plane and I took off in his motorhome. I made it as far as Harrisonburg VA at 8:30 and stopped for the night. It was a perfect spot, nice Quality Inn, Texas Roadhouse, and Bob Evans all in the same corner. Texas Roadhouse by 8:45!!! Finally fell asleep around 10 only to get awakened at 11 by the hotel fire alarm. There were alot of young spoiled brat types staying there and I figured they had fun with the emergency alarms. By the time the fire company left it is was 12ish til I hit the sack again. Bob Evans at 7:15 on the road by 8:45 Saturday AM. Made it back to the shop by 12:15. Took tons of pictures and video with my new GoPro, just now trying to figure them out. The flight down in the Jabiru was interesting. Sorta like a SmartCar in the air. No heat but the flight was surprisingly smooth. We were above the clouds most of the time at 7500 feet. Mostly cruising at 100-120 knots. I'm trying to clean up the video of the takeoff and landing, it was pretty cool. The motorhome and it's little VR6 2.8 didn't really like 75-80 mph the whole time, it drank alot of gas. Got me home though, so that's a good thing.

Something to think about Gary. During WWI that was the size of most planes so just imagine doing a dog fight in an open cockpit at those altitudes. :O Glad you had some fun.

I couldn't imagine a dog fight and fighting leg cramps at the same time
