West Virginia is now the playground for Washington Beltway crowd. He's going have to move west quite a long way to find anything affordable.

I was looking for a old thread on the other board and found this old great tech advice from Zap.

Well, if there is anything wrong, just wait until it tears completely up, then fix it. That's what I do. It makes troubleshootin g a lot easier.

I always used Keensert's because that's what was available.  All mentioned will work, but keenserts or time serts are best.

I bought my Walker/Lincoln 2 ton low profile floor jack in 1969 new.  It was under water a few days during hurricane Sandy and still works great. I hope you get over 50 years out of yours too...

Green thing I believe is a warning signal/buzzer/controller for seat belts, key on or idiot lights.
last thing may be part of factory alarm system. hard to tell without seeing the connectors

After 34 yrs everything is worn and needs to be looked so were do you start. Personally I would do nothing and enjoy the car. If you do race the car or beat on it in the street then based the money available I would R&R whats really needed first.

·Jul 26, 2005My Father passed away in March. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and was on the only destroyer that got fired up and was
able to shoot down enemy aircraft. He never talked about the war until
his kids were adults. My father was a chief in fire control and served
with Admiral Zumwalt a green Lieutenant just out of military school. His
ship the USS Phelps earned 12 battle starrs. The most decorated war
ship in the Pacific fleet. They were in the Battles at Pearl Harbor,
Midway, Coral sea, Guadalcanal, Talagi, Solomon Islands, Attu,Gilbert
Islands,Marshall islands,Palau, Saipan and a few other I can't remember.
He was going to get out in 1946 to marry my mother but they called him
back for a top secret mission. He joined the USS Brownson for operation
high jump. They when to the South Pole and did secret testing of nuclear
warheads and ammo to be used against Russia. The media back then
thought they were looking for flying saucers and a secret German base.
My father had many cool stories and was a character. He got disgusted
when he seen or read all the desistement about our troops. WW2 vets were
and still are a rare breed that will never be seen again. :usa:

Why did you remove the intake to replace valve springs???  But since you did I would remove the heads and send them out for a machine shop to go over. Get a mild  competition  valve job with a little bowl work. Should be about $300 plus parts. After all these years I bet the head gaskets are long overdue for replacement.

Law says max two terms for president so Obama is shit out of luck.  I don't think Trump will run again.  I bet a newcomer will popup for the Republicans and win.

I usually buy at Costco since it's about 30 cents cheaper on all gas.  Reg $3.24 and Premium $3.44 this morning

Test pipes are illegal and most vendors wont put them up on a website to sell.  But most do carry them. Call by phone. If not, your local muffler shop (not a chain store) will make one for you.
