That's wild that you're getting such crap results with the China gate. For the money it may be worth replacing it.
I had the Monte out at the track last weekend and my c.2018 eBay "TiAL" 60mm is controlling 16psi on an 11 pound spring fine using an Innovate SCG-1 boost controller. I have other tuning issues to address the laziness... but upper rpm boost control is on point. 3

I am putting 315/50R17s under my MCSS... and I mean tucked. The M/T SS tires are a good compromise, but for regular street duty I prefer the Toyo TQs.
275/60R15 is the best looking tire for stockish car/wheel combo. https://www.instagram.com/p/CwvrFHsv866/ 5

The dirtier the better! I gotta take the girls to a junkyard... tomorrow is the last day of school. Might be time to book a field trip. LOL.

Never in my life could I bring myself to spend this kind of money on a car:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvsGBHp-B8Y Even if it runs mid-9s at 150+ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvBRWzILUgo Might as well get a Demon and put a pulley on it for far less. I suppose this is how I rationalized buying a slow-AF manual Hellcat sub-60K at the time (couldn't build a comparable car for the cost of the parts alone). Good luck with that now, the value for money is long gone in these cars. 11

I refuse to think about the amount of money I have committed to my labour in building our cars. There are formulas for doing basic products, but in this case you dealing with fashion and manufactured prestige. So you can upcharge and tax them for their impulsiveness and ignorance. Justifiably so.

Yeah, saw that a while back. Incredible talent indeed. However, the world he started into didn't exist when we were young. As is the way of things. Just need to maintain perspective.
I just got my TIG a year ago, so I am playing catchup between raising kids, life, work, etc. This is one of my favourite young gun builds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f6rCx8_zEU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6to_YlElo0 Here's what mega-bucks and next-level technology gets you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUOvEHuP6Ec https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghH_Q3WiS3U 13

Get some bleach on that thing.
I have a love-hate relationship with Fox-bodies. Hard to argue with their potential. 15

I respect the high end stuff, but I want to enjoy driving them Its what's keeping me from going full race car (or poseur racer) with the Monte. |
