The question is: competitive or not?

It's got to weigh nothing. But, can a Stage motor make and sustain the power needed to win the class reliably and consistently?

Obviously. Obviously I asked an honest question and was looking for some technical insight into how it would be achieved.

Money and parts are his biggest roadblocks.  Trying to run a stage motor only drawback is keeping up a supply of parts. That can almost  be impossible on 35 year old motors less the TA blocks.  A friend of mine runs Promod  and uses Pat Musi  motors. He goes through 2 or 3 a year at $175K each but they are readily available with unlimited setups. I think Dave will be limited to a very few outings a year.

Yeah, I think that is more one of those run it now and then and talk about it a lot.  I might be wrong and I know Dave is a well known figure in the Buick world but for what it costs to keep a Buick running on the absolute, competitive edge, I kinda doubt it will be out most week ends of the year.  It's all speculation at this point, but it is a work of art no matter how it is sliced.

People have a hard enough time getting small-block and big-block chevy parts at the moment - I can't imagine trying to race a Stage II Buick V6!

For anyone that wants to follow along. As Dan said Dave is legit, his mustang is one of the quickest in Ultra Street and it's Buick powered.
