How do I ... downpipe
« on: January 17 2011, 08:13:48 PM »
I have a two piece downpipe and I am changing turbos. I need to adjust the alignment of the upper piece of the downpipe for proper alignment. Is there any chance I can get the two pieces apart without destroying them?

Depends on how it was clamped.  If you used a band clamp instead of the old style muffler style it should come apart easy.

Get it cherryred with a torch and maybe you can wiggle it out. Tough to do on the car.
