I think there's still one on my valve cover, disconnected. I use the RJC boost controller.
I will check, but I think mine is pretty beat up.

Hook it up tuner style...and forget about it.

What does that entail?

Do away with the Y-Connection...and hook a vacuum hose from the port on the turbo directly to the actuator. Leave the solenoid plugged in...or it'll kick a code.

Why on earth do you want to give up boost control?

Boost is rock solid on my car...and I read a post one time by one of the top turbo gurus who stated the soleniod was designed to handle stock boost pressure...and there was a chance of a boost spike at a higher boost level using the solenoid.

boost control is handled with spring pressure.  A potential downside with pure tuner style is a slower initial ramp up due to the actuator opening gradually before it is time which bleeds off some of the intial spool up.  This is the reason the granger style manual controllers became popular...no boost reaches the actuator until just before the opening point....this emulates the chip control technique of holding the solenoid open initially before reverting to duty cycle control

If one has a bit too much converter for the tires, then pure tuner style can sometimes soften the initial hit.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I do enjoy the programmable boost control options in the MAFT Pro. I sold off my manual boost controller parts a while back.
