12C and possible showers tomorrow. Gonna hold off for the 3 day Thanksgiving Day race at my local track next weekend. They won't say shit to me in morning practice on the Sat and Sun. As long as I run a 7.3 dial for eliminations.. .it'll be good.

The 16" tire has a shorter sidewall...and won't flex as much. I'm not sure how much more boost you can jam through it with the stock heads...as they're a restriction. Full low gear timing came on in .5 seconds after launch...did you have Erics chip on aggressive mode?

I'm assuming you're referring to the front shocks not being able to extend far enuf on launch...and therefore not transferring enuf weight to the rear tires to plant them harder.

Have you checked your line off fuel pressure after the repairs?

I always admire that brings a stick to an auto fight!  Car runs really well

Brad, you ought build one of these....be like a bike with 4 wheels :)  You can shortcut the process because he has learned a lot as to what works and what does not.

He has been playing with this one for a few years now.  He got sidetracked for awhile recovering from his accident but he seems to be going full bore now.  I really like the car.

I have my R1 and my 85 IROC up for sale. I bookmarked HPTuners...

Jason...what size rear tire are you running? 26" or 28". Could pull some fuel in low gear...but I'm happy with what I see. Don't see anything bad happening in the first file. Good RPM drop on the shifts. Hang on...your battery voltage at WOT in 3rd gear is 12.5...so that needs to be addressed.

2nd run shows you leaving the line at 3667 RPM's and 13.9 lbs of boost...and about 4 seconds to spool. Might wanna try leaving the line with a little less boost/RPM's...so you don't overpower the track. The two runs you blew the tires off you left the line with a little over 20 lbs of boost.

Your 1/8th to 1/4 calculation is 12.3 at 107.

Erics alky chip has aggressive mode. Move off the 128 default low gear timing to 129...and full low gear timing hits instantly...in stead of being delayed. In theory your 60 foot will improve and you should shave time off your 1/8th.

Good luck.

Thanks...and with Steve's help I'll put it into the 6's. I'm incredibly fortunate that I'm one of these people that listens...seem s that few do these days. If you listen to guys like Steve, Ed Baker, Grumpy, Earl, Paul, Bison and a few others...you'll go a long way. Knowing one's limitations is always good. I haven't got a clue of XFI, BS3, MAFTPRO...or any of the other fuel management systems. What I do understand...i s Erics 5.7 chip...so I stay with it...cuz it's a snap to adjust. If you can understand the data that PL spits out at you...then you can go plenty fast with Erics chip.

Fueling/timing changes should be fine for the 1/8th...we'll be fine. 1/4 would be dicey. Long range is now sun/cloud and a high of 13C. It's a 3 hour run one way. I must be losing my mind.
