Title: The Asshole Next Door, or the Assholes Next Door?
Post by: motorhead on October 14 2016, 01:46:08 PM
Clearly I know (in my mind) which title is a better fit.

But, I have been "that guy" on more than one occasion.  Even had my next door neighbour come storming into my garage one night last year to chastise me for the excessive noise at 2300hrs - my bad, not a cool move on her part (she was dealing with some personal shit at the time), and we got past it.  However, she still knows who benefits from having that handy guy next door with the know-how, tools and supplies - and all that experience comes from being invested in the hobby.  Like the other day when I topped up the original brake fluid in her 200+km Toyota - because didn't want her to be out there unsafe.

Its amazing how many problems in the world would be solved if people just talked to each to other.

Spending 50 grand to sue a guy over being annoying seems kinda crazy.

Applied for a permit because he obviously can't work in construction. Denied.

Does it anyway, just takes cash, no paper to prove anything.

You can't tell me that guy has sooooo many friends with dozens of shit-boxes needing constant repair. Please.

This kinda crap happens all the time. The municipality has to grow a pair. Residential zoning is for people to live peacefully not put a building up and run a sneaky commercial business.

I'll bet the disruption is worse than you think.

Just cause it has to do with cars doesn't make it ok.

Those people need some of this.

Most of our Buick mechanics seem to work out of their home, I don't think we can provide them a lively hood otherwise.Woul d I want the Buick mechanic living  beside me - nope. *Quandry*.

According to the Gazette, Williams actually did attempt to apply for a permit to operate a repair shop in 2012,

Not sure how his career in construction could continue due to his physical limitations?

Cut the guy a break.  He could easily turn around and sue her for discriminating against the disabled. As long as he obeys the bylaws I don't see a problem with it.
Problem is some people are not willing to talk or come up with a solution!

Especially when they are swearing! :icon_lol:
