Today I traded the rear seats out of the mustang for a tubular k-member, stock control arms/spindles/brakes, and some shocks with a coil over kit and qa1 coil over springs.
The kmember has been modified at one point, the drivers side mount had a brace cut out and then a plate put in plate -but the price was right

Since the truck is done - I moved the mustang back to the operating table.
K-member fit nicely but the coil over spring kit won't work without an adjustable caster/camber plate setup.
I spent a couple of hours trying to fight the stock coil springs back into place. There isn't enough room to remove the spring compressor I have once it's all assembled, and there isn't enough weight on the front of the car to use a jack to compress them. Almost pissed me off enough to order the caster/camber plates!

Also I broke my favorite S&K 1/2 drive ratchet again doing the ball joints on the truck. I could have fixed it again for $40 but I started looking around. For a little more money I could have a new Tekton, Proto, or Milwaukee. I went with the 18" Milwaukee for $75. So far it seems really nice - but we will see how it holds up.

I've made a little more progress.
Traded the front coil-over spring setup for a nice aluminum radiator.
I decided I didn't like the engine mounts so I made these work.

If I need to borrow some wire, I will stop by. I have my own side cutters.

I was making good progress on the wiring until my brother's SUV decided to eat its bearings. The 5.3 that I helped him do a AFM/DOD delete, cam swap last year. The engine was filthy inside and he didn't want to do all the extra work to pull the pan. I guess it's easier to change engines - we've got a 6.0 to replace the 5.3 so it should be a noticeable upgrade.
I figured I'd share my frustrations with you the last picture is me loosening the torque converter bolts, that was the only way I could get them.
