« on: June 20 2017, 05:17:21 PM »
Wondering if you can get the hoses replaced on the existing hose assemblies? If so what type of hose do you nee to use as I know as place that can crimp them on for me. As always, any help or info much appreciated.

Did a bit of searching and reading and there seemed to be a lot of conflicting views.  I like your idea of running a one inch spacer.  May give that a try before I run out and spend time and money on a new intake.  I have this installed on a 327 with a comp 268 solid lifter cam, 23 degree trick flow heads, tremec 5 speed and 323 gears.

Just installed a Fitch efi system on my 67 Camaro.  The current intake is a dual plane.  Would an open plenum style be a better choice?

Looking for opinions on bumper fillers.  I dont want to spend $600 on a set but dont want a cheap set I end up spending a huge amount of time on to make them work either.  Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the input.  What I am really looking for is a new tank.  I am going to go with and external pump but want to use the existing tank mounting straps.  It looks to be nothing special, some sort of plastic chemical bottle.  I have done a bit of search and have yet to find one that looks identical to the one that was used.  If it weren't for the oultlet and wiring holes, I could use the one I currently have!       Good info on the pump and contoller.  Was hoping the controller would work.  Figured the worst that could happen is I would smoke it!

I have an old SMC alky kit that the pump has died on.  I am going to go with an external pump but as I already have holes drilled for the previous tank I want to replace the old tank with a new one, without holes!  It is the round plastic tank that mounted to the fan shroud with pump inside.  Any idea as to where I might pick up a new one?  Looks like standard off the self item.

All I can say is listen to Steve.  He helped me get my GN going and I cant thank him enough.  It would probably be still sitting or in someone elses garage if not for his help.  Thanks again for your help and patience.  I owe you several!

Thanks for the alternatives  for removing the upper A arms.

The 12" set up I am putting on is B body spindles, 1LE rotors, and Spohn upper control arms.

Great thanks again for the info.  Something I can hit with WD40 and let sit for a few days.  Cold and snowy for the next few months so I have time!

Thanks for the replies.  When you mention getting the steering shaft out of the way, do you just disconnect it from the steering box or do you mean to remove the entire steering column?

Getting ready to install 12" brakes and do the vacuum conversion on my GN.  Quick question, do the upper arms come off by just removing the nuts on the cross shaft or will the headers be in the way and need to come off also?  Looks real tight and would rather find out now as opposed to when I am trying to get the control arms off when I am knee deep in brake fluid.

Well, PM has decided to act up now that I am on the Hot Rood Power Tour!   Anyone in Ohio got one sitting on the shelf?

Well, used the old turkkey baster and sucked  outnthe old fluid and put clean new fluid back in.  No brake light since!   Think it was low on fluid.  So, vacuum brake conversion later this  year is on the books.  Think I will do this when I do the 12 inch brake mod. Thanks all for the input.
