Car Stereo and Electronics / Re: 6x9 rear speakers
« on: February 08 2017, 06:09:00 PM »
I starting thinking like that Steve I might as well just sell the whole car and buy a nice stereo and tv for the garage instead.

I'm gonna cut some slots and see how that goes, whats the worst that can happen?

Car Stereo and Electronics / 6x9 rear speakers
« on: February 07 2017, 09:18:23 PM »

Hey guys.  I'm looking to install a set of 6x9 speakers I bought years ago for the buick.  They seem to be bigger than the last set I bought and won't fit with the adapters and the rear truck rods.  I'm thinking if I cut a a horizontal slot on the front side of the rear deck where the seats go they should bolt flush to the rear deck.  Is this how other people are doing it without using the adapters?  Tried looking for pics of other setups but not much luck.

it sounds like a bunch of kids are tobogganing off the roof.  Then when it hits the ground it is a really loud dead thump.   Probably kill children if it landed on them.   We have stops to keep the snow from all coming off where the entrance doors and where we park the cars.

I do appreciate this house having a steel roof.  Though it definitely wakes you up in the middle of the night when the snow starts to slide off.

it was so icy yesterday that when my wife's car got on the road in front of our house it wouldn't move anywhere, and that's with snow tires.   I was able to push it by hand sideways to the curb while the car was in park.

Over by Base Borden got a bunch sunday night, and in barrie we only got like maybe 8cm in one fall.  Only had the snowblower out once so far this winter.

Its amazing how many problems in the world would be solved if people just talked to each to other.

Spending 50 grand to sue a guy over being annoying seems kinda crazy.

No kids yet Mike, but the wife to be definitely wants some.  I think if I was paying GTA prices for homes I'd be renting no way we could afford a place that wasn't in a rough area.
I was dumb as toast when I was 23 and bought the stupid thing. I've spent like $12,000 to make a $4500 dollar car into a $10,000 dollar car.   Should just spent the 15 at the time and bought a done/nice one.   I'd just like to have all the worn out shit replaced so I can drag race it and not be chasing a bunch of dumb worn out things that should have be replaced before it ever went near a track.

Brad one day, when I finally get the bazillion bullshit maintenance things that should have been done 10 years on my car I'll bring mine down.  Why oh why didn't I spend more money on this stupid thing when I was paying 350 a month in rent and didn't own a bloody house.

Nice pics Rich!

Weird Dave about you having problems with them shifting belts, my employer prob has 100 trucks in our area running them and had good luck with them.  We run E's so that might be why.   We've had pretty good luck with some of the BFG's as well.
