So power steering pump is making a lot of noise. I did have the high pressure line off to replace the o-ring. Is my pump shot or do I just need to bleed the system again? Drove it about 10 miles and it's still making excessive noise. The reason I replaced the o-ring was it was losing a little fluid and seemed to be letting in a little air when it sat for a week or two. Pump was then making a little noise until I turned a few times then was ok. Any thoughts?

Jack the front up so the wheels are off the ground. Crank it up and turn it slowly lock to lock a few times. See if that gets the air out.

Thanks for the suggestion Steve. Did the high pressure hose o-ring a while back and thought I had done this but maybe not. I'll give that another try and see what happens. What do you use for fluid, atf or ps fluid? I think I topped it off with ps fluid after the repair.

think I used PS Fluid the last time I messed with it

Well think my problem is solved. Reservoir was low on fluid. Could swear I filed it and bleed the system when I was done replacing the ps hose o-ring. It was a few months ago so who knows. It's back to normal so I can know get it to the shop for a front end alignment as I did the b body spindle swap several months ago. Think I'm going to have to bleed the brakes again though as they still seem a little soft.
