My stuff from Summit came in and I have done a few mock-up.
But you have my attention on converting relays to modern relays,is there a thread on this I missed or a write up in Vortex?

No, I would have thought John Spina would have done it by now.

Should not be hard to do...just have to take a new relay socket and look at the wiring diagrams and connect the wires accordingly.

Car makers have moved to newer form factors, are you suggesting those Steve?

I like the Panasonic CB1-M-12V as a traditional relay, potted bottom.
If it says Panasonic, potter brumfield, schrack(TE), Omron its not junk.

Still searching for my ideal sealed socket.

All this is probably worth a discussion of its own

No, Dave.  I don't have any problem with that either, for that matter.

I am suggesting to use standard relays that can fit more than one circuit.  GM relays, in our cars, have a multitude of pin locations so one cannot expect to pull a fan relay and have it work in the AC location or fuel pump slot.

Of course, I may be nuts or dreaming and they will all interchange LOL  Or, maybe they just built me unique cars??

Here is my fix 12-24 screw with a.040 hole screwed in this should keep the leak to a small stream if it fails a third time

Thanks for the nice words.I did what everyone has done in the past and added a T on the engine stand.Not so easy to get to in the car.
This will be the third switch,cold start is 60 psi with 10-30 or 40 W.I have TA oil pressure adj ,I donít watch the oil pressure like I should probably but never see it higher than that,hot idle is less than 20 greater than 15.

No load on the parts at idle so 15 is more than enough

I have always been happy with idle oil pressure and 60 looked like a good number too, I donít see any post where people have the sending unit feel.

I was going to say none of mine have ever failed, but it dawned on me that it's been years since I had one installed.  I suspect the problem is simply poor manufacturing-at least on replacement units.

These days, I often would rather have a junk yard part than a new or rebuilt part....especi ally the rebuilt junk.
