Teflon fuel lines

What is the composition of these things/  teflon inner -braid- something outer?Bend radius seems limited, unique connectors  and they are expensive.Adva ntages?

Compared to bending and flaring hard tubing the braided line is much easier to snake through the undercar areas.

The main advantage with teflon lined products is that it does not start leaking fuel after about a year.  I have walked into garages with non teflon lines and smelled fuel after 6 months.  It's the composition of modern gasoline that is the problem.  It's not cheap, but, it's worth it.

There is some copper alloy being pushed instead of steel, anyone tried it?Steel with plastic coating is also being sold I believe.
My experience with steel is 15-20 years before replacement.

I understand that there is copper / nickel tubing & also Zinc coated, copper lined tubing used for fuel lines available.


I used some NiCopp (copper / nickel)  brake lines that I bent up over the winter for my HydroBoost conversion.
Was easy to bend by hand and easier to double flare too!

I went Viton (FKM), time will tell if it was worth the savings per foot....
