trunk lock ?

I'm finally putting the lock cylinders in the gn   i go to the trunk lock cylinder an besides the arm  that connect to the release mechanism  theres a long spring attached to the lock cylinder   an for the life of me i can't remember where it connects  anyone recall?

I just looked at mine and doesn't have one either. Has it been taken apart before? Maybe someone before you did some Reub Goldberg?

Isnt that part of the remote release?

i thought it was either part of the remote release or the alarm system
but theres no place for it to attach to..
its actually molded into the lock cylinder or id remove it
if i   just stick it inside the truck lid   the lock works fine the button in the glovebox works  so i dont understand why its there
I've had the car since   92   suppose its possible somone added it

Factory alarms had extra parts on the door locks, was there anything extra on the trunk?

yes found out it was part of the factory alarm system  txs guys
