Also, as I mentioned in the other thread @moparjim - the Turbo Buick world needed classes and rules to deal with the requirement to standardize the record runs because all Turbo Buick owners are notorious liars and cheats (and it took years for them to get on the same page). I think that's why we enjoy each other's company, my tur-bro.

General Buick Tech / Tires etc

Copy from another car site but good info

$.02....... I like the leverage advantage that the lower (3.09) gear set gives you all the way down the track. If you have a hard time getting it to hook then you need to put more tire on the track in addition to better weight transfer to get the job done. The biggest thing you can do to increase traction is more sidewall on your tire. Increasing the width of your tire is not nearly as effective as increasing the length of your footprint. The taller your tire the greater your sidewall. The smaller the diameter of your wheel, the greater your sidewall. Consider this.... if your tire is 10” wide and the length of your contact patch is 2” long (like on a 20” wheel)......you have 20sq in of rubber on the ground. If you widen your tire out to 11”.... you have increased you contact patch to 22”. A whopping 2 more sq in! Increase your sidewall so that the length of your footprint is 5” (like on a 15” wheel) and you now have 50 sq in of rubber on the ground. Instead of a 10% increase you have a 150% increase on a narrower tire. That’s like having 5 tires back there instead of 2.

General Buick Tech / This explains a lot

This post is going to ruffle a few feathers but I assure you it is NOT directed at anyone in particular just a pet peeve of mine.
HERE is a time slip for a hellkitty Notice it picks up 27 mph on the back half on 9.70. My GN would pick up 26 mph on the back half at 19 lbs of boost Can i say that equates to a 9.80 run?
If I turned it up it would equate to an 8 sec. car.

? of the day, Why can't you buy sugar free syrup in Canada only no sugar added but in USA you can get sugar free.
The only sugar free I've found in Canada is imported from USA.

Ihave ideas but no answers.
