Title: 2008 Ford
Post by: TSM Girl on March 23 2007, 03:46:29 PM
We are thinking about a 2 car trailer to carry both GN's or an Opel and my GN(X), whatever the case maybe, I think I like this truck, cant wait to see it in person. I bet this can haul both with no problems. lol  (Diesel is a must).

A nice little old truck, I think it looks cool.

That looks like a nice truck. Be careful, many of the new diesels
require reformulated fuel. Make sure its available where you are.

And yes, I like "Hummers", but not the ones from AM General...

Sorry, didnt answer, getting the fuel/diesels for this beast wont be a problem out here. Next week (since it is spring break for the kids) we are going to go test drive the Hummer (have to go to Memphis or Nashville) to look at it.  Not sure what we are going to get, if any..May just keep the Excursion.

Sadly, they're one of the better trucks on the market. Although, I'm not a fan of their new 6.0 liter diesel. I prefer the
older 7.3 over it. It seems that the big 3 do better with diesels when they buy them from somebody else.
Ex:
Ford 7.3 Powerstroke = International T444E
Dodge 5.9 = Cummins
Chevy/GMC Duramax = Isuzu

I like the Ford diesels, because they're International engines. And because GM dropped the ball with design a long time ago.

We went today and looked at the GMC Yukon "Regency" and the Ford Expedition "EL" and I was quite disappointed in both. If Bryan was to drive it, because of how tall he is, his seat would be near my daughters. He fits better in the Fords trucks..(F-series) I still wish they made Exursions...he is quite comfortable in them..Plus I can't part with my Excursion that V-10 is nice..  so we are going to keep our Excursion and put New and bigger wheels and tires on it and keep it.  (Plus the Excursion is paid off ) is a nice thing to have.  The Hummer has too many blind spots for little me, Bryan HATES unless we buy a H1 which is a big NO.  We have to travel at least 2 hours to Nashville to check out the Land Rovers which I don't want to travel so we will wait to see the 2008 F-250 or 350 this summer.

Just to update everyone, I have been looking on the Internet for a new job. I believe i have now found my calling in life. I believe I am going to pack up the family for a vacation. While on vacation I will be able to explore the many glorious experiences that may be mine if I am hired as a Ride Attendant (I prefer Ride Engineer) at Dollywood. This will be my boss:
