I hope you get home soon. The last time we had temps close to
that, I had to rebuild my kitchen because the pipes had frozen and
broke. That sucked big time!

Such a pity, the cold has made the poor guy dilusional to the point that
he's seeing Santa Claus.

An interesting piece of trivia about the pipeline:
When it was built, wildlife activist claimed that it
would hinder wildlife population. In reality, It has helped
increase populations, because the small amount of heat
that it gives off is used as shelter by young animals such
as deer and moose preventing them from otherwise freezing to death.

Ooh... Nice comeback on the tree huggers.

Now over population is becoming a problem. Even around here, we've had a record high statistic of deer being hit by vehicles.

Jim, those pictures are real neat.  I love the picture of the Ford "Harley" truck at the Polaris dealership.... .. :supz:     I think I am pretty scared of Santa, he kind of has a scared look on his face...lol.... ..  How far is the pipe?

Why didn't you stop to take a picture of the Moose???  LOL, j/k those things look so cool..I have never seen one in person......lo l...

I keep swearing that I'll go to Alaska someday. It looks beautiful....a nd I am actually a fan of the cold. Phil will likely end up closing that window.....but only because his sister's so frigid.

They're really only a threat during mating season (aka: The Rut)
Otherwise, they're docile like cows.

hey Jim, can you get me some moose meat? Maybe it would make good jerky?

I got a hind quarter of a small deer a couple days ago. Made jerky and like in the past, I can never make it and keep the true flavor of the meat. So it just tasts like regular jerky.
