As I've been sitting at home brooding for a while, I've been ass deep in a lot of art projects, but my problem is I take on too much at once and I always get swamped. Here's a shot of my painting easel and a mess waiting to happen.

Kodak 200 Gold through a mid 60's Pentax Spotmatic SLR. The bitch still fires true and on time!

How can you tell when they are finished? My borderline OCD would have me retouching it until I finally burnt it in disgust.
Looks like some smooth lines on the canvas.
-
You have a great talent and patience for that, my daughter, who is 6 loves drawing and painting..she can sit and do that for hours. I dont know how she does that.....she is better then me. -lol

Is that a digital camera? I know nothing about Cameras? That is a very clear picture.

It is such a beautiful thing. It looks brand new.
I've decided to find a Canon A-1 though.
-
Well, I think that picture was a clear picture. Some cameras dont even take like that.
-
Wide angle lenses are a beautiful thing. I need to start hoarding lenses.
-
I just looked up my Pentax MG.

So is it the kind of camera you have or is it the Lens that makes the picture clearer? My brother in law has some fancy canon camera he talks about, but to me, it does not take any good pictures, it leaves shadows...but he talks about how expensive it is..which is not impressing me cause the picts look like crap.
-
LOL. Most bad pics are due to operator error. It's all in the lens. What's behind the lens isn't as important as the lens itself, and someone who knows how to use it.
Case in point is the guy in my photo class with a $5,000+ setup who takes absolute crap pictures.
Ron, you're a bastard times 3 man! I want a Pentax 67 but they're WAY pricey. Ever use an RB67? 6 pounds of medium format fury!

Good only for the studio, but SO good when used.

ok, well then what would be better....a regular camera with film or a digital? We are looking for a new one.....we have a digital, but it seems like it takes reg batteries and we are replacing them all of the time. We want something that can take good pictures especially when we are at the track and one of us is racing and the other is on the side watching.
-
Canon Powershots!. I love them. They have full manual controls and a lot of pro features but they're compact and still can be used like a point and shoot. I suggest testing a few cameras first, see which are easiest to use.

Who the hell is Ron ? :rofl;
My initials are RB, and I was born in '67. Does that count for anything ?
Actually, the only really expensive cameras I've ever used were
commercial grade television cameras.
My boss just found a 28mm fish eye for the AE1. He says it started to fall
apart, but it could be screwed back together with some patience. I'm psyched !
I've always wanted a fisheye.
-
Damn you! It's funny how simple lenses really are huh? Had the same problem with the Pentax until I got the precision screwdriver. Can't be a real photog without being a mechanic too at times.
-
I got the lense today. Its not an actual fisheye, but rather a wide angle.
Its also for the Pentax. I don't see any missing screws. It looks like it
simply came apart. I have to look into it a bit further....
Its a Tokina EL 28mm 1:28 8203454
