I retired the Mazda this week. Its gone
to the great salvage yard in the sky.
Waaaaay too much rust to justify fixing it.
-
The pickup truck?
With the GM V6?
-
There is only so much rust a person can do. I am sure your going to find something else in its place. :psix;

You'll get ovah her. Shes off to a better land. What are you going to replace her with? Is that a pic from her glory days?
-
Yup. Buick V6. Not sure what the next project will be.
I had my eyes on a black '87 S-10 with a Reading work body
on it. I figure that'd make a good home for my old GN engine.
Be one hell of a sleeper too... If only the guy who has it would
sell it.
-
You pulled that motor right?

Hell yeah ! The drivetrain is in the bed of my S-10. Now
my S-10 has 10 cylinders of raw horsepower ! :rofl;

How much did you get for it? My old 9000 turbo needs to go bye bye. I called Brandy-Brow and they said $50. Sounds a little low to me. Scrap iron is pretty high now. Any suggestions on how to get the most $$$$$ for your junk cars?

Ebay or Craigslist. You may find an enthusiast that will pay much more than $50.00.
One man's trash... you know the rest...

I think they got $50 for the carcass. I've seen complete vehicles go as much as $150, if you deliver it to the scrap yard. If they come and get it, you'll usually
get about $60 - $75.

Sorry to see it go..but now room for something else.
I have a friend that has been trying to give me a ranger truck that needs a engine.
But with working on the 83 I don't have much time for another project.
