I'll be going away camping this weekend.
While I'm gone:
1)Don't break the internet, let alone this board.
2)You should be drinking lots for me, because I'll be drinking lots for you.
3)If you need to reach me, I'll have my cell, but you'll only get dribble after
4pm. (probably sooner !)
4)This is also a good time to enjoy a good cigar.
I'll talk to 'yall when I return... :atbeer:

Where ya goin?? We went to Umbagog Lake camping on an island up near Errol a couple weeks ago. Right on the Maine/NH border. That's when the motor shot craps in the truck. Lots of wildlife fun. Saw moose, bald eagles, loons...and a raccon in the trash. Surly little bastards, aren't they? Bottoms up and have a good trip. Don't forget the firearms. :smt071

Camping rocks dude! You work your ass off all year long so you can take a vacation and then what do you do? Camp!
Camping is acting just like your homeless. No showers, cooking food over an open fire, sleeping on the dirt...
-
Ahhhhh, nothing beats it!
-
We have many "camp sites" here in downtown Los Angeles. Lots of campers.
-
Yeah, Greg likes to keep tabs on his squatting buddies.
-
I do the desert camping in winter, and sometime beach camping in the summer. I want to go to Pismo Beach again.
-
Two weeks ago I was acting homeless...err r....camping at El Capitan Beach in a 30 foot motorhome.
Poor bastards in Down Town are still using shopping carts!
-
I've done both kinds of camping a whole lot in my day.
-
Been camping before, parents had one of those Motor homes. I guess according to my husband, it is not considered camping. As long as I have Air cond, I am fine! lol
-
We had a Dodge Trans Van in high school, we'd just park it somewhere and get trashed in it. Hell of a van.
-
My days of sleeping on rock in a sleeping bag that is too hot or too cold are over. Give me a nice bed in the woods and I am good.

A bunch of us went to Keyser Pond Campground in Henniker, NH. We've been doing
this trip for the last few years. I'll post some pics later that I took with the digital.
I also did some 35mm too, but those will have to wait for developing. On Saturday
night we went to the Hopkinton Fair, and watched the demolition derby. That is a
huge event there. The had entrants fron as far away as South Carolina ! Three
qualifying rounds and a final event. Lots of destruction to say the least. Firearms
are a must, however we were fortunate that we didn't encounter anything that
would require us to use them. It rained all day Sunday, so we never had our
annual drunken shuffleboard event, or the drunken pedal boat adventure. We
played UNO instead. We also cooked an entire turkey on the BBQ grill. That was
awesome, kinda like Thanksgiving in September.

Here are some pics...

Here are a couple more...

-

Yes it is. I took a
couple of shots before I got drunk. There are still plenty left on the roll. I'm
really slow about having film developed though. I think I still have a roll that I took a couple years ago, that I need to get developed.

There are two "squirrel" statues in front of the
rec hall at the camp ground that were carved with a chainsaw. That was one of them.
I messed with the pic a little to make it look old.
