Title: Broken pushrod guideplate
Post by: kjhansen on February 26 2021, 01:31:08 PM
My '87 TR had had a very light ticking sound.  Apparently not a lifter, but rather from a very slightly bent pushrod.  Easy to replace a pushrod, but the pushrod guideplate needs to be replaced also.  I can't find ANYONE selling these.  Any help out there?

Post a picture of what you are referring to as a guide plate, there are no guide plates from the factory.

Actually it's just a guide.  Round nylon thing that fits in the hole the pushrod comes through.  I don't have a picture right now, as it's all put back together.

I don't recall any nylon piece that a pushrod  goes thru

Steve, yeah it's the rocker arm retainer.  Thanks.
