Bryan and I, well Bryan has a new baby. :rolleyes; This is where Bryan will be installing the 462 Buick he has in the garage. I will get him to post his project plans. Now I get the next car, I will have to start looking. I sure hope he gets his garage done soon.
-
PS - We should be picking it up in IN this weekend.
-
I'm not sure. Is that an Opel GT ?
-
Yes it is, but may want to wait for someone to confirm it!.........lol.. ...... b.t.w it is a 70 Opel GT.......his dad bought him one when he was 8 and then when he was 12 his dad sold because he needed the $$$ more than Bryan needed a car. So Bryan always said he wanted to get another one and now this will be another race car. See what happens when I let him stop working on the garage for one night? lol
-
Yeah, but now he has more incentive to finish the garage.
-
True, but we have to get MY car put back together so I can run TSM. Plus I have a lot of nice new parts to put on..... :evil;
-
Here is the engine going in. It is not ready yet. When it goes back together it should have the following:
Fuel Injection (Currently a Holley 850 double pumper)
Aluminum heads (Currently ported stock heads)
6 speed manual trans (Currently a TH400)
Eaton diff and 3.90 gears (I sold the stock carrier and 3.23 gears, they are in a TSM car now)
-
What brand of 6 speed? I am NOT a fan of Tremec.
-
The type of 6 speed is a Richmond Gear.
-
Richmonds are nice. Nice ride, I still want an Opel GT with a high winding NA V6.
-
Thanks, I am sure this one will take Bryan a while to finish. Hope this keeps him busy...lol
-
Big blocks are cool.
-
This big block was taken out of his 77 Buick Century/Regal (it had both of both worlds on it) that puppy was fast as hell. Can't wait to see how quick the Opel will be with it.

Add about 100hp and take away about 1500 pounds. It will be fun! :supz:
-
i can only think of two things right now. Opels just look cool and Brian has got to be crazy for sticking a big block in there... well three things i guess because damn that thing is going to be fun to drive when its done.

One of these days I will get it off the trailer.

A guy at a track I went to has a 280Z with a intercooled 231 stuffed in there. I think he was running mid 11's and he was only a year or so out of high school.
I wanted to do a conversion with a 81 RX-7 I've had since high school but I never got around to it.
That car by the way was one quick little bastard. I was the fastest kid in high school until the one kids dad got a new 86 T-Type and the thrill was gone.
