Title: Bracket Racing-Personal Best
Post by: Scoobum on September 10 2017, 07:54:57 PM
Went 5 rounds in Sportsman Class making the final 4 before being eliminated on a breakout. A quick thanks to 278CIKILLER, Steve Wood, SS/GN and JB Racing. Round 5 slip below. Think I'll keep this one...may never get that far again.

Top 4 is doing well & it's more fun the deeper you get! Your 60 is a little high unless it's the track? You should be grabbing some 1.6's with the practice you have but it's still a keeper!

What I'm doing is fully staging the car as quick as possible. When the other car pre-stages, I bring the revs up to 1500...when he fully stages I bring them up to 2500 and hold them. I have a 5 inch monster tach...so it's easy to see. It doesn't produce a great 60...but it keeps the car dead consistent for bracket racing.

That's what I used to do & I had a better 60 but you have much better MPH. You put in the time & effort to learn how to tune & it's paying off for you.

This convertor is a tad tight for this turbo...and I can't get the low gear fueling any lower. I'm likely gonna send it to Eric over the winter and have him remove some low gear fuel...and add some high gear fuel. Two reasons it runs the MPH. Joe has a flow bench...and his outflow Champions...an d he knows where to massage them for added HP. The other reason is this convertor couples well on the big end. And these 6262's make silly power from 23 PSI on up.

Congrats, Dude!  I can't get over how fast that thing goes with that 60ft, wicked!  I think my mid 11 run I ran the 1/8 in 7.3/7.4 with way lower mph.  I have a good engine guy now and found some more problems.  Can't wait to hit the strip next hear.

Who said, Old Guys in Buicks are slow? :icon_lol:
