Had several issues with the car last nite at the track...one right after the other...and my night ended early. Fired a wrench out in the field and yelled something to the effect of 'ARE YOU FUKN KIDDING ME!!!!!!' Anyway, I have some fancy Russel blue anodized fittings for the electric fuel pressure gauge transducer. The fitting is leaking where it screws onto the fuel rail. Do I try Teflon tape, or is that a no no. Let's hear some leak solve fixes.

Teflon paste. I think it is Loctite 565 or 567?

I think they're toast Brad and should be replaced with stainless steel AN fittings.
Bet the aluminum got fatigued from the weight of the transducer and vibration finally did it in. I would not re-use em.
Don't take a chance with leaking fuel.
I'm pretty sure that I've heard of this exact same thing happening with the red / blue russell aluminum AN fittings used in same application.
DO a search and I"m sure you'll find that's what happened.

Teflon tape is considered a nono but it works .Just make sure none of it gets in the fuel. It could plug things up.

Removed the 90 degree elbow assembly and inspected the threads and mating surfaces with a magnifying glass...both looked okay. Threads on both looked okay as well. The nut that threads over the fuel rail was 'catching' when I tried to spin it by hand. Teflon taped the threads...and sure enuf...it started spraying fuel at the 90 degree bend...so the fitting is fukd. Off to the speed shop tomorrow morning to get a new one. I've got a vacuum leak at one of the 5 lines going to the vacuum block on the TB. Move those lines...and the idle speeds up...and the BLM's have crept up to 128 from 118. Swapping to all new vacuum lines today. Ignition module swap is tomorrow.
