Title: dipstick seal
Post by: Shimy87 on September 22 2016, 09:10:50 PM
Hey guys. In my hunt for a leak free Buick one sore spot for me is, when im testing or at the track at high rpm it pushes out oil through the dip stick tube. Not alot but makes a mess. Tried an o ring set up but have not run it yet. Anyone have a proven solution.....o r am I the only one with this issue

Ask yourself this? How is boost getting into the crankcase.

If it's pushing the dipstick out...and spraying...the n the crankcase is pressurizing.

Hopefully the new intake gasket fixes it

Rings mite be getting tired. Check your PCV system is physically okay...and use rocker covers you can put breathers in.

Really hope its not the rings!! I do have breathers in both valve covers and the pcv is good. Took it out for a spin today and so far all good, no leaks and runs good. The new chip and injectors made a difference in the BLM's, I used to always run at 118 but now blinks between 124 and 127   Hope to get some tuning in tomorrrow

With the car in park and warmed up...from what I've seen...the BLM's shouldn't move around. Mine check in at 118...a tad rich...which is fine. Don't get hung up on 128. Get to know your car...and if the BLM's suddenly change...then something's up.

Glad the chip and injectors are working for ya.  May want to verify fuel pressure.  Start low on the boost and creep up on the O2's. Good luck!
