Getting tired of racing these Ford guys in their new Mustangs and whipping their butts...so I'm lining the car up in the 'hot lane'. Running against the big tire cars.
Race 1. 81 Malibu. Dead even till the 1/8th mile mark...and he ran outta gear. I coasted from about 100 feet from the end for the win.
Race 2. The Cormier Auto twin supercharged Gen2 V6 circa late 80's or early 90's Gran Prix. Got to his rear quarter...and that was it.
Race 3. 1967 Chevelle. He was out on me 4 car lengths before I knew what happened. Reeled him into to 2 lengths but ran out of real estate.
Jason...can you post the pic of the twin V6 supercharged Gran Prix I sent you on your cell? Can you guys remember the mid 60's Olds that had the twin FWD V8's in it? This Gran Prix is the same deal. Very cool...and damn fast!

Here's a pic of the twin supercharged V6 Gran Prix from today.

Here's your pic
-
Thanks Jason. Hoping to get a pic of the rear engine. :)
-
Brad, don't feel bad it still needed two blown 3.8L V6s to beat you. ;)
-
Say hi to our Armdrop girl...Miss Mandy Mae. :)
-
sweeeeeet!
-
Street car lineups were long. Check this SBC Gasser bug. :)
-
Mandy looks Dandy! Twin V-6's, now that is something different You sure had perfect weather!
-
That was a great turn out! Was the bug still rear engine?
-
Looks like a blast! :cool; What did the Grand Prix run? Work was fun. :(

I've seen the Gran Prix run as quick as 11.1. Ron from Hamilton was there hanging out with me. I think he said it went 11.2.

If you wanna see how horrible that 'track' is...take a look at the opposite lane of the bug. Grass growing up between the cracks...and check the dip in the asphalt. It's nothing but a pedalfest. It's was a WW2 training facility...and the tarmac has been there since it was built. The stone has come to the surface...and it's as abrasive as hell. No spray or anything is put down. I tried leaving with boost on the third run yesterday...an d hazed the slicks well into 2nd gear. The best thing I've found is to leave at an idle with 10.5's with 10 pounds of air in them. I tried the 9's yesterday...an d they were useless.

The GP went 11.0 on one pass.
An audi s4 went 10.9 I don't know what was done to it but was a total sleeper.
In terms of traction there is no burn out pad to speak of=just a tanker that was leaking like a sieve so guys were doing burnout in water then driving another 20ft. or so in water. so yea the traction sucked.
Even so there were a lot of nice cars there and was worth the trip.

Heres the build video of the twin engine Gran Prix.

The Hellchicken owners are taking a shitkicking on the Armdrop board for being...well.. .chicken. I think this is the 10 second Audi Ron is referring too. Note the Hellcat owner in the street car lane...not in the hot lane with the Audi. The pic below that was posted from one one of the guys who said the Hellchicken owners must have made a wrong turn. Lol!

Waiting in the hot lane on the far right for a Hellchicken... no takers.

Rolling coal.

Brad, I am waiting to get these cut by my brother's friend. Let me know if you want one.
I am really unimpressed by the Hellcat owners; but, then again GN owners are some of the worst trailer queens. Reputations are earned and maintained - and may eventually become a legacy.
-
Nice Mike!
-
Great pics! And the Hell Kitty should say Heavenly kitten.

That's purrrrrfect 😆

Sitting in the trailer going over a run on PL. Had a friend who sent it. Not sure who snapped it.
-
Mike...thanks. Got a friend who does graphics. I'll send it to him. :)

Finally found a pic from Armdrop. I believe I'm lined up with the Chevelle that beat my ass.

There are some videos of a LS1/turbo Trans Am at the event; lots of GNs leaving in one of them.

Yeah, there were about 4 or 5 other GN's there. I like that Trans Am.
