If you had a maximum of 10 grand to spend...what car/truck would you buy to cruise around in?

One of my oil field buddies has/had a 240sx. It went low eights all lowered and no traction. Not sure what was all done to it but it was quick for a driver. I'll have to look what an A86 is.
I'd go find me a beater TR and drive it. But wait that's what I already do.
Back from the vid. Yep I like the A86 Toyota thing. A turbo would do nicely. Might lean to that.

67-72 gm pick up. Preferably a 69 or 70 Chevy c-10 Long bed. Not hard to find, parts readily available and I'd paint it just like my Grandad's. Snot green with white on top of the cab. Lots of great memories in his truck. He totaled the truck when he hit a horse that had gotten loose when coming around a curve. I was 8 or 9 when that happened. Would love to build one in his honor and I think abou 10k would do it

It's the AE86 series which was the fifth generation toyota corolla...ligh tweight 1600 engine with a lot of hop up potential. They became the premier drift car in Japan and the price doubled or more over here...hard to find for a decent price but they are a lot of fun for the effort...the SX seems to have come into the picture as the AE86 cars became rare. Lotsa potential in them as well. Nothing like a lightweight car with an engine that can be pumped very hard without losing much to damage.
