This TR of mine hates doing a cold start with race gas. Get some heat in it...and no problem starting...fir es right up. Does it take heat to ignite the higher octane?

Higher octane is indeed harder to ignite which is why it resists spark knock. You don't want to use a higher octane than necessary for the same reason.

some people say it burns slower, but, the correct answer as he said...hard to ignite
