Had a gentleman contact me. It's an 87 TR...stock. Engine dies out for a couple of seconds...SES lite comes on solid...engine comes to life again...SES lite goes out. No MAL code on the SM. This is intermittent. Any ideas?

try cleaning the chip and socket contacts and replug it?
Sounds like it is losing electrical power momentarily... might check the positive cable to the starter to make sure it is tight and not shorting against the downpipe or header before it gets to the starter. Also make sure the orange wire is not frayed or somehow not making a good connection to the battery

Steve, he lives 90 minutes away. I relayed the info to him. He's one of these guys that actually listens. :) I had him install a new fuel pump...hotwire kit...chip and injectors from Eric...AFPR... wires...plugs. ..boost gauge...FP gauge...recore d rad...water pump...and SM. Only thing I couldn't talk him out of was a 3" DP. He did take my advice and get an RJC tho. :) I'll keep you posted...and thanks.
I'm doing the valve springs on it next month.

Dave..it's intermittent. I never asked him about the ECM getting hot. Waiting to hear back from the things Steve asked to check. The car is in Kingston...90 minutes away.
