Title: need a list of current exhaust systems for our cars
Post by: tb3 on January 16 2015, 12:27:42 AM
What options are out there right now for bolt-on, stock location single muffler exhaust systems?
Not interested in the hooker or the pypes, or the single shot.

The only one off the top my head I know if is the RJC exhaust

I'm saving for one of these when the time comes. For now I just have the stock system. I figure is it isn't broke don't fix it.
I do like that it is shiney. And with it being ss it should be the only one ill ever have to buy.

http://rjcracing.com/product/exhaust-systems-2/ (http://rjcracing.com/product/exhaust-systems-2/) This is what I'm running Rich. I like the mellow sound. I don't have any input on "drone" what I hear others complain about (due to my limited highway use).

I ran that same exhaust Gary on my white T.  It did have a drone sound between 1800-2100 RPM but not unbearable.  I will most likely purchase it again for the limited

thanks guys!
the trcustom parts is a Awesome exhaust!  but I want to go back to a singles muffler stock location.
I really like the 3" single from rjc, except I don't like the exhaust tips.  I guess I could just cut the tips to look exhaust.
I pondered just putting a stock exhaust minus the cat on it.  I remember enquiring in a post awhile back.
Would the stock exhaust with a test pipe prevent a tr from running high 11's?

I'm getting ready to buy new rubber body bushings in the next week or two.  The only place I'm seeing them is kirbanperforma nce, and a ebay guy out of IL.  Is there any other place selling a complete body bushing/rad support kit that is priced better?  or should I just get them from kirban?

RJC is second to none...period. The only equal is ATR...tuff to find tho...and I'm not willing to part with the 3" ATR SS exhaust with Pitbulls that's on my car. :)

With a test pipe you should be able to go into the 11's.  I ran 12.008@116.7 through the stock exhaust and I could only muster a 2.0 60ft.  This was on a hot day, I'm sure cold day would put me into the 11's through the stock exhaust.  Biggest thing is I couldn't spool well off the line, too much restriction.

I think I'm just going to go with the rjc

theres got to be some weight savings over my dual muffler heavy ass hooker exhaust too, lol!

Kirban is the only one that sells the rubber bushings Aaron. The guy on evilbay is selling kirbans or NOS.

I couldn't believe how much the Hooker system weighed when I took it off. I think I pulled a hammy.

weight difference with the rjc and the tr custom pipes?

seems the rjc should be lighter with plenty of flow with less pipe and one less muffler.

I'm liking the rjc set up, might have to re evaluate the plan.

Sounds good to me. And I do love me some D84.
